The Coffee Club’s Teacher Bean Sprout project received Minor’s Rising Star Sustainability Award in 2018. To emphasize it’s positive impacts to both business and the selected school at Wat Sao Thong Kao, the project has been selected as a candidate for the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) People's Choice Awards in 2019. This project aims to promote educational development by generating income from growing bean sprouts in-school and supplying them to The Coffee Club restaurants in Thailand to make their signature ‘Pad Thai’ dish. The school income is used for funding the salary of a Native English-speaking teacher who will help to stimulate and increase the students’ English skills. Learn more about the project in this 1- minute video.
