Another award that guarantees the excellence of Dairy Queen, global ice-cream brand under Minor Food Group that won 2 awards ‘Franchise of the Year’ and ‘Best Overseas of the Year’ from “Thailand Franchise Award : TFA 2021”. The first annual Thailand Franchise Award competition to recognize Thailand’s Franchise business in a global scale. The award was organized by the Department of Business Development (DBD) in association with Thailand Ministry of Commerce with the objective of elevating Thailand Franchise businesses to benchmark against global franchise business practices.

This year's event held in a virtual format. There was an overwhelming interest resulting in 37 top franchise businesses in Thailand that applied to compete for the award in 10 divisions.  A total of 23 brands that made it to the semi-final with the franchise business practice that qualified under the strict global practice criteria.
